Wax Burner FAQs

Wax melts are the perfect way to wind down and relax after any stressful period, but it's important to know how to get the most from your wax melts and stay safe using your wax melt burner. Here's some FAQs regarding safe use of standard and electric wax melt burners...

Q: How does a burner work?

A: Pop a chunk of your chosen wax melt into the top bowl of the burner, switch on (if using an electric burner), or light a suitable sized tea-light under the melting bowl and enjoy your fragrance as the wax melts.

Q: Where can I use it?

A: Place unit on a level, flat, cool, heat resistant surface away from draughts, other heat sources and flammable objects.

Q: How do I remove the wax?

A: Let the wax cool and harden. Reheat for a couple of minutes until the wax becomes a little soft, then, whilst wearing protective gloves, apply some gentle pressure to one side and simply pop it out.

Q: What can I use in my electric burner?

A: Good quality melts, such as our byAurora branded wax melts as they produce a long lasting fragrance and a great scent-throw. They are not designed for use with any oils

Q: What else should I know?

A: Your electric burner will get hot during use, therefore don't leave them unattended, and keep out of reach of children and pets. Don't move or touch your electric burner while the wax is molten. If your wax runs out, switch off the appliance - don't let it burn dry. Don't use any metal objects to get the wax out, this could damage the burner.
